Jamie Robert Ward is an independant writer and critic, amongst many other less relevant but nevertheless important things. Born in 1987, raised and currently residing in Glasgow, Scotland, Jamie is comforted in knowing that although the city has an alarmingly growing level of crime, it also plays host to world's tallest cinema. Spending just as much time there as he does at home writing about what he learned when he was there, Jamie is a prolific writer and viewer of films, writing on average 15-25 reviews a month. With a keen eye for artistic independents to big-budget blockbusters and everything in between, Jamie will just about watch and review anything granted that it gets his prolonged attention.
With experience in writing freelance for entertainment industry, Jamie began settling down with movies in January 2008 and launched Invocus.net on Monday the 19th of May, 2008 to publicly archive his work. Covering all major releases, plus a large selection of limited and foreign cinema, Invocus also aims to be a resource primarily relevant to UK audiences. Currently the website exists independently and operates without commercial backing, but plans are in motion to reach audiences by applying for membership to the OFCS.
Jamie also feels an overwhelming sense of shame for writing his short but overly indulgent biography in the third person, and apologises for coming across so obnoxiously pompous.
